Privacy Policy

Last updated: June 30, 2026

Consilium is a consultation service that takes your situation seriously. That includes how we handle the information you share with us. This policy explains what we collect, why we collect it, and how it's used.

What We Collect

When you submit an intake form, you provide the following:

  • A description of your situation or dilemma
  • The domain your situation falls under (career, relationships, ethics, and so on)
  • What you've already tried or considered
  • What outcome or aspect of the situation concerns you most
  • Your preference for how perspective is delivered
  • Any specific thinkers you'd like included
  • Additional context you choose to share

When you complete payment, Stripe collects your email address and payment details. We receive your email from Stripe so we can deliver your brief. We do not receive or store your card number or billing information.

How Your Information Is Processed

Your intake form responses are submitted via Web3Forms and delivered to the Consilium team by email. We read your responses to understand your situation and prepare your brief. No automated system reads, scores, or makes decisions about your submission. A human reviews it.

Payment is handled entirely by Stripe. We do not process or store your payment information. Stripe's privacy policy governs how your payment data is handled.

Your brief is produced manually and delivered to the email you provided at checkout.

Data Storage and Retention

Your intake responses are received by email and retained by the Consilium team for fulfillment purposes. We may keep a record of completed consultations to improve the service over time. If you'd like your information removed, email us at hello@yourconsilium.com and we'll delete it.

We do not build profiles, sell data, or share your information with third parties outside of what's described in this policy.

Cookies and Local Storage

We do not use tracking cookies or advertising cookies. We use localStorage on your device for three things: remembering your theme preference (light or dark mode), saving an in-progress consultation draft so you don't lose your writing if you leave the page, and keeping your consultation reference number so we can show it to you after checkout. All of this stays on your device and is never transmitted to us until you choose to submit your consultation.

Third-Party Services

Running this service requires a small number of third-party tools. Here's what each one does:

  • Stripe handles payment processing. Your card details go to Stripe directly and never pass through our systems. See stripe.com/privacy.
  • Web3Forms receives your intake form submission and routes it to us by email. See web3forms.com/privacy.
  • Google Fonts serves the typefaces used on this site. Google may log the request. See policies.google.com/privacy.
  • Cloudflare hosts and serves this site. Cloudflare processes traffic at the network level. See cloudflare.com/privacypolicy.

Children's Privacy

Consilium is not directed at anyone under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect information from minors.

Changes to This Policy

If we make meaningful changes to how we handle your data, we'll update this page and revise the date at the top. Continued use of the service after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.

Contact

Questions about this policy or requests to access or delete your data can be sent to hello@yourconsilium.com. We'll respond within a few business days.
